B-J is great entertainment for those cold days when there isn't shit on any other channel. Outside of that, I think it has been bad for the hobby by inflating too many ego's of people who own mediocre cars. Just my .02.

Keith Martin , Sports Car Market, was the only one that could tell the truth about what was going on. Jackson kicked him off because he wouldn't play along and drum up the business. They barred him from entering the building and escorted him out, permanently banning him. January 2007.

They got crossed over the muscle car Market , which Martin described as over inflated and about to crash. The article was written by someone else, however. Martin was also telling people that the best cars were across the street at the competitors Auction, supposedly.

It was a happy day for me when they canned that blowhard DeCadenet. If it wasn't somethging from Europe he didn't know shit about it, but would still whine incessantly about the color, or the wheels or some damn thing or another. I am so glad he is gone.
Also, I'm very glad that Brock Yates has faded away. Another revolting blowhard.
And while I'm bitching, here's a shot at Aimee - that broad creeps me out! There, I've said it. If I were ever able to accumulate enough money to be there to bid on something, I certainly wouldn't want her staring me in the face and telling me to pony up the few measly thousands of dollars it now requires to buy my dream car. She doesn't know these people from a bag of assholes, yet she's telling them to reach further into their pockets. Gimme a break - get rid of her!!!

There, I'm done now - back on my meds!!!

If after selling Cobras and 'Cuda's 5 days later she still remembered my cheap '29 RPU, maybe I do have an "in". Then again, I'm a married man, so I didn't want to tell her about my Edsel Wagon. It just might have put her over the top.

The "sit at home and bitch" comment wasn't directed at you, That was about all the people who are the World's Authority on something they have never been to or participated in.

There was a reason I put "free" beer in quotations; but if you've bought or are selling the pass is comped.

No, It's not cheap, but even if you pay the $500, It's a lot of entertainment if you treat it like a vacation week. It's 8 days of parties with free food and drink, really good daily parking included, cushy seats up close to the action, comped drinks the whole time, Robosaurus, and you get an additional pass to bring the wife or your friends to partake.

I'll call you daddy the whole time we're are there if you take me with. As long as we take your Edsel Wagon.

Naw, the Museum does not have that kind of cash yet... but I love to go to watch the 'happening' - lots if iron and 60 footers and some cool stuff to see in person and, oh yeah, I'll promote the Musuem too...

I like seeing the cool cars get picked apart by the Goobers with a Mic in their hands talking about a shake up can restoration.... How would you like to have paid too much for the car & get the recorded TV of you buying the car with them talking about the shoddy detail???

I remember seeing a 69 GTO sell last year for a pretty hefty sum of money and later that day when I left, I saw it broke down in the middle of the intersection with coolent dumping all over the ground. I am sure that the new owners wife is still bitching about that one.......Did not even make a mile before it caused him some trouble.

  16. Best thing to do is record it and fast forward through the commercials and the Hagerty guessing game scores. You can watch in half the time. If you fast forward through the 'Vettes and T-Birds, 1/4 the time. Enjoy ! Denise, we'll see if car gurl's report next week is as good as your road trip reports. P.S. Amy looks better with glasses, kinda' like Gov. Palin, you betcha'.

  17. Im going up in the next couple of days....I gotta admit Amy is kinda hot to bad they make her dress like a dude..........hope to see prices on cars come down like the gas prices

  18. I like to see the prices on the cars that were bought a couple of years ago and are now being resold at half the price, I don't feel sorry for the stupid bastard who paid $2 mil for a hemi cuda a couple of years ago and finds out its wort $350,00 now. Lots of the sales at BJ are ego boosters for these guy's with too much money.

If you mean am I going like sitting on my couch late at night and watching it from my DVR then yes!

I like watching that program because they give a bunch of small facts on what was offered from the factory. Most of the cars I am not going to be looking for or own but I feel that any knowledge about old cars is worth remembering.

Best auctioneers in the business. Love to listen to them. I'm an auctioneer myself and I have never gotten to ask for hundreds of thousands or millions. Spanky rattles those millions off like he does it every day. (He doesn't). And I like Amy too. I hope you have fun Car Gurl. Have a ball. I'll be watching for you.

Off topic, I know, but you asked...

Aw, I know she's married to Spanky, so I won't get graphic, but tell her she's got lots of fans, especially this one. Don't know why BJ doesn't promote her more. She's a real all American beauty from the Heartland. And mentioning a photo layout in one of the books would be much appreciated. Even though I read she's pretty unassuming and doesn't get why she gets all the attention.

Pretty + real +appreciates classic cars=winner in my book

I record it. Then when I watch it I turn off the sound, watch the nice cars go by, and fast forward through the commercials. Peaceful bliss..

Time flys when you're having fun! That was just this past March.;)
I've sat thru ALOT of Detroit Autorama awards presentations and have taken many, many photos of you with friends and their trophies. If I started posting them all you'd probably think I was a stalker.:D
