The last news that I heard was that Bumpstick (Eddy) said that he lost some weight but was still the Coby that we all know. I don't think I have ever seen him sweat! Word was too that he may not have to go into surgury. Lets hope the minimum will be needed to get him back into form again! It's great to see the support and response that he is getting from all the Hamb'rs and yes he does know about it all on here. From those that know him personally, from here and car shows. KNUX!

    Coby,

I never met ya, but I dig what you do. Keep your head up and your attitude positive. It will make all the difference in the world.

I recently had a close friend who went through a very similiar operation, open heart surgery to replace a faulty valve. He is 35 and it hit us much like your's -out of the blue. It was tough on all of us, not to mention on him, but with determination and the love and support of his friends and family, he pulled through fine and is back to work now, 9 months later. That's saying something, because he does construction for a living.

You'll be in my thoughts and, as it is apparent, the thoughts of the majority of us HAMBERs. Hang in there and get well ASAP, and get back to doing what you do best- bringing us a fresh and new persepctive on what brings us all together- the cars, not culture!

Been moving my mother-in-law back from Arizona and just saw this.

Would like an update as well, a very talented fellow for sure.

Oh, and prayers have been said on this end, a little Divine intervention never hurts.

    Get well.

A few of us went and saw him on saturday.

He was in good spirits, they have put the surgery back a few weeks, maybe more, which must be a good thing. He's hangin in there. Coby is definitely one of the good guys

I know he saw this thread and it meant alot to him.

I spoke with him today on the phone. Sounded in good spirts considering. He's out of ICU and in room 415. The doctors were going to perform a test today, sticking a camera down his throat to look at a heart valve or something like that. He's hoping to be able to go home at the end of this week or begining of next. He'll have to self administer 4 to 6 weeks of antibiotics at home then head back to the hospital to have an operation.

Keep up the prayers and good thoughts.

Coby is a class act, and it makes me sad to read this!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Its crazy I talked to him on the phone the week before the Primer Nationals and he said he wasnt felling well, and might not make it to the Primer Nats. Coby take care and keep your chin up!!! You and your family are in my prayers...

    Hi,
This is Marc and Paula. We're on the phone with Coby right now. it's possible that he will be out of the hospital in a day or so! On IV antibiotics at home for several weeks, then the valve replacement. He wants us to thank you all for all your support. When he's able to log on himself, he'll have lots to say!

Hey alright! I'll keep praying. Take your time, the HAMB ain't going anywhere! Summer's over and you'll have winter to relax and get ready for next year. Hope to catch up with you soon. You have a great family and all the best.

Hang in there Cody. You're one of the calmest, most humble dudes I've ever met. I know you're gonna kick this thing's ass. Listen to the doctors and take it easy. Church can wait, and trust me, you'll have all the support you need to get things rolling again. We're all pulling for you. Stay up brotha.

Just one last update that Coby is officially out of the hospital and at home now. Surgery could be in a few weeks or even a few months -- they'll just keep monitoring his progress and go from there. Thanks again to you all. Marc and Paula
