  3. Good man. Needs some kind of reinforcment. It's a bit of a bad design really right from Ford in my view to have the tank exposed in the trunk. Makes for a easy install thou.

    yes fox craft flared skirts..are they metal or fiber glass? i have a NOS set flared sitting in a box in my garage..dont know if i should put them on or not

    Your Shoebox is clean enough that you can run them or not.. it will look good either way.

    Maybe something you can do to change up the look once in a while.

    Now the the rebuild 5.0 is in the car. Still a lot do but hopefully I can take it for a testdrive soon!

    Good point,the skirts would have to be modified because when the car lays out the skirts would smash against the ground,those foxcraft skirts are quite wide

    Try progressive automotive I believe they have the kits. They are in Ohio I think

    Please count me in also. I bought the Lakewood 50 (first two picture) last September and have taken steps to recondition all the metal (third picture) and now in process of rebuilding (fourth picture) with additional custom work to end up more like my icon picture (50 Ford) from 1956 but with some improved components now available.

    Daddio,,,,, Thanks for your comments. I am a newbe to HAMB and not really sure what is of interest or just cluttering up the site. Where can I find 'build threads' to look at and figure out if my project should also be there?
