HAMB on the ROCKS #6 - Rockford, IL / Belvidere, IL - February 22, 2014

Can it be 6 years already for "HAMB on the ROCKS"?

Once again, Kerry Hopperstad is going to host the 6th anniversary of "HAMB on the ROCKS" at the Tilted Kilt and at his shop in Belvidere. If you live in the area and haven't made it to one you're definitely missing out on a temporary cure to the winter blues. We have had people attend in the past from as far north as Green Bay and as far south as Peoria!

The day will begin Saturday, February 22nd 2014 at 11:00 am when we will meet at the Tilted Kilt in Rockford for lunch. From there we will travel to Hopperstad Customs in Belvidere for an open house.

This will be the 6th year for HAMB on the ROCKS. It originally started as a small event for HAMBers to shake off the winter blues, but it has grown into a real fun day drawing non-HAMBer hot rodders, street rodders, and other car enthusiasts from all over. I will miss seeing all of you again, but I urge you all to get out, see some old friends, and make some new ones.

The Tilted Kilt is located inside the Clocktower Resort right off I-39 in Rockford so it's real easy to get to. From there, it's just 5 or 6 minutes East to Hopperstad's.

There's always plenty of cool stuff to see at Kerry's and lunch at the Tilted Kilt is always great! The attendee's sticker, courtesy of OldBobSign, is worth the trip alone!

Kerry said he is looking forward to seeing everyone again. If you can, reply to this post so we can get an idea of how many to expect; but if you can't there is plenty of room for everyone. Thanks to Kerry, Darlene, Derby, and the rest of the folks who host the event and thanks to all of you who have made it out in the past. Also take lots of pictures and videos so I can see what I am missing!

I hope to make it. The distance isn't a factor because I live a mile away from the Kilt, its the memory banks. They're not as good as they used to be. Ha!

 

I'm thinking you lost your mind. Birds fly south for a reason and here you are flying north.

Would be great to see ya's but I'm swamped at the shop and my boss is a real slave driver.

I should be able to make it this year -- so far no conflicts with daughter's college activities like last year.

I hope that life in Texas is going well for you.

 

well if Finn is going, then I most definitely need to attend. But then again, if Derby is going, it may be dangerous to attend

That "Mama Tried Motorcycle Show" is at, or near the Iron Horse Hotel right? Is it just on Saturday?

Thanks to Kerry & Darlene for hosting the open house, had a good time visiting with everyone....it was just nice to get out and do somethin; been too long of a winter.
It looked like maybe a hundred guys attended. I missed that "sign-in" board.
