Hell the 2x4 426s were running in SC last year. I plan on bringing a Bel Air Post car, its as rough as a cob, kinda like the owner. A lot depends on if I can keep up the pace, I'm not as good at the thrash as I used to be.
Think about hiring a off-duty cop to watch the parking lot of your motel. Lets catch some of these scum sucking car stealers. Just my opinion. ____________________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid,"Your music not too loud it just sucks!"
I think Breeder and crew were watching the parking lot last year, or were the cops watching them....... something like that. Gary
and since BobK gets up just about the time Breeder and posse are heading to bed, I think we're safe at the Ramada. Just FYI, anyone has my permission to kick ass then ask questions, for anyone seen opening up Big Olds door or messing with him in any way.
whenever i hear or read the words 'hamb drags' i get giddy like a school girl. it's sad really. but i am looking forward to this more than christmas. but to answer the question in order to stay on topic, i am bringing a boring daily driver and lots of enthusiasm.
I think i've put this on another thread but once again... Anxious to flog the old Tub a bit. Hope to get a roll bar bent up before to make the wife a little happier. lol
When is the hamb drags and where's the location at? I know I should already know this but I'm trying to see if I can make it and I don't have my event calander with me.
Can Pickups race and the truck is a 61 I also have a 36 pickup but I don't know if I'll have it ironed out by then to race still trying to get the money to finish my heads up. The 61 is just a hot rodded daily driver but it has a 4 speed so its fun to stand on.
If'n I don't get a few weekends off work and left alone from the family I'll be walking down I-20 trying to hitch a ride from FLAMEDABONE!!! If she goes together soon I'll be bringing this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, AND YES Denise I'll be bringing my singing voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to bring my Pontiac. How are these classes run? *Bracket with dial-in *Index (ie 10.99, 13.99) *or straight out headsup Do the cars need to meet NHRA tech? If so, does the factory x member count as a drive shaft loop. It is within 6 inches of teh front ujoint. Tad
I will be there if everything goes according to plan at Bonneville. It will be a quick turn around to unload the Bonneville car and load the Henry J for the drags. John
Darn...is this all the people going to Joplin???? Thats alight, we had a hoot at the Cinematic and the drags will be an even bigger HOOT!!! C'mon guys, lets see what you are bringing. You aren't ASKEERED are 'ya??? Yeah...yeah...yeah, I know...lets hear the EXCUSES!!! Kustomd, I imagine a '61 pickup with a 4-sp. would be more than welcome in Joplin. It will be a blast just to run it down the track a few times. petritl...classes run heads up pretty much. As far as tech goes you will need a puke can for the radiator, roadster drivers need a helmet and everybody should have a seatbelt. Tech is pretty easy unless you are a complete idiot. I was thinking of disguising the 'ol Ford so Ryan will let me run it in the stock VW class.
Thats a good looking rail monkey. I remember seeing it last year. Tom Culbertson will be bringing his flathead rail and Yancy will be bringing the Stude Gasser, I believe. Should be some good racing going on!!
Don,I'll be there with my '56. I should have the "slicks" problem solved by then . If not I'll go to "plan B".I'm really looking forward to the H.A.M.B. drags. It'll be like the National Drags were "back in the day " I'll see you soon. Dennis.
