I'm thinking this isn't your event man. We focus more on hot rods than full on race cars and that will never change. Sorry man.

sweet baby Jesus, you dont get it man
it does not matter what event you go to there will favorites. try a nhra event, when the top fuel cars run theres more people in the stands, or a big name like john force.

if you know so many fast cars, and they fit into the set requirements for this event, by all means make sure you get them there next year.

the "car show" is by no means a attraction to this event. it is merely a place set aside for the people that have driven far distance for the love of there car to have a safe and secure spot, and yes a place for others to enjoy looking at them.

i think you should stick to the Springfield nsra event.its close and you can trailer your circus show to it, so you can impress the masses.

    please kindy go away

Wait is the original poster the same guy I wouldn't let register in the hotel parking lot?

This all suddenly makes so much sense to me.

Like I said before when you were avoiding eye contact at all costs, the HAMB Drags aren't for you man.

  5. From what I have read of the history of the Hamb drags (I have only been to the last 5 or 6), they were started as a get together of Hamb members, this event is not advertised on MoKan's site that I have seen, or really anywhere else other than word of mouth. The idea is to get the members of the board together to hang out as it is a group that otherwise may never meet in person. I have always thought that it was for this core group of people and the spectators were just outsiders looking in and were not the focus of the event. I know that the gate fees go along way to putting on the event, but that is not the goal of the event either. I don't think that the Hamb members care much about how many spectators (strangers) ran to watch when they ran down the track, they showed up to have fun with friends and it just happened to be at a track.
I also recall that part of the decision to pre register cars was to maintain On Topic vehicles.

Ryan; my feedback, I had alot of fun, i like that it is not a bracket race and that there is a place for everyone's vehicle. I would guess that for some this is the only drag racing experience that they have in a year. I am blessed that I am very close to MoKan and that they run often, this is not the case for others and I appreciate that it is open to them to participate.

I would like to see some discussion about having app 1-2hrs first thing for open runs like MoKan's friday nights, then go to the classes being called out. I really like seeing them run through as fast as they line up, no waiting and some can get in quite a few passes.

    Thanks for a great time
