my first burnout was in a Pontiac. could have used those heads in 1978-1980.

  8. Thanks Bob, the block will be at the machinist for the cylinder hone, and the main caps should be on and torqued to spec for that. Only takes a minute to flip it over and set up the dial bore gauge for the main housing bores and stick em. Nice time to upgrade to A.R.P. hardware as well. A nice little deburr around all the mains, break the sharp edges at the parting lines, and remove any casting flash inside the main webbing and inside of pan rails.

  10. Or solid motor mounts . Been thru that once. We now run always some flex in motor mounting. Nothing brutally solid. When a crank runs around a corner it sometimes breaks after time. Howver. If the shu ipping guy dropped it when he delivered it that could be the original start of the crack. Some cranks will actually break like that if dropped. Tin Indians being among them.

Well my broken pieces from this year are just baby-poop compared to Jeff's ROYAL carnage..... But I still have the chunks from my Yayhoo cup pass at the 2011 drags that I will be glad to donate.

Congrads Jeff,,,, you and that sedan are an inspiration to ALL.

This thread snuck back up while I wasn't looking...

I got all the parts back from the machine shop yesterday (same combination, just a new crank and hone the block) and she MIGHT be back on the road this weekend...

Thanks for the thought, T... What kind of parts bussiness are you doing??? Are you selling strictly World Dominating Pontiac Motors, or do you have other stuff too???

    See ya, -Abone.

PS. Did you bump into my buddy DJ Zor at Bonniville???

Oh man...Not with this combination...MAYBE...MAYBE a 10.60 on an absolutely perfect day on a perfect track with a perfect 60 foot.

But fear not, the next mill for this little car will be 100 inches bigger and WAAAAY badder....2013 she gets a new chassis, engine, cage..everything..
