I have one of these standing around so this is a great opportunity to get some of my ideas onto paper. So: Stretched wheelbase. Stock roof height! Engine mounted faaar back, the exhaust exits through the door. The door has a new opening following the "extended fender-line". Alcohol injection so I can drive it even after we all run out of oil on this planet! Megaphones. Suicide doors. Chrome reversed with whites, Cheater slicks in the rear. VW beetle headlights in home made buckets. Chrome rollbar, white roof insert and white vinyl interior with blue piping to go with the light blue metallic paint. Apart from that: Loads of chrome, manual gearbox with a Hurst shifter, and maybe a -59 Opel dashboard I want this one! I've been drawing on another version as well, let's see if I can find the time to finish it. Hope you like it.
Here is my take on the Anglia. Lets make it a roadster. We'll chop the top and slam the body, maybe bag it too. Lets extend the fenders into the doors like a 48 Chevy. While we are at it add headlights similar to a 36 Ford and move them forward and sink them into to the fenders. The factory wheels aren't bad but lets make a one-off set that are both larger and wider. Red leather for the interior and a baby hemi under the hood would just about do it. All of the entrys look great. It is really cool to see everyones take on the same subject. Bill
heres my attempt. lowered, chopped, 4 door conversion with suicide rear, fenderless, lakepipes , other obvious crap. i apologize at the lame excuse for wheels. i cant draw wheels for the life of me.
It's cold...my feet hurt...a day off...and I was bored, so I dreamt up another!! Just a lil' ol Anglia farm-fresh pick-em-up truck!!!
Though I would get back in the game with Fez in a Tourer.. Some chrome and a bunch of candy-n-lace... Maybe drop a couple inches in length, cuz we all know them Anglia's are way too long ...
I'm new to HAMB. My intro is here... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2346551#post2346551 I just couldn't resist drawing an Anglia. First off I figured a British Ford need British power so why not a big bad boy Jag straight six. to fit the Jag six I had to lengthen the frame rails. The grill actually has quite a few minor mods including laying it back and grafting a portion of the hood onto the top of it. Not sure how that would look in real life but in the drawing I thought it worked. Cheaters slicks out back and a single tail light round up the details. Finally the roof insert was removed so someone could actually fit into it...
Dizzam! (crap, still laughing at the crunked up one posted earlier). That's VERY nice, I especially like the detail of the reflection of the range in the paint (with the sun rising/setting? in it).
a nip and a tuck Great stuff here, we got off to a bit of a slow start, but picking up steam now! Welcome "And" and Pure Hell, I love a shriner monkey
Here's another one. A variation on the blue one earlier in the thread. I thought about 60's showcars when I did this one. Chopped. Red plexiglass windows and roof insert. Chrome rollbar. Some old 6-hole slot mags in the rear. A shaker scoop ecoing the twin nostrils of the grille. Keeping it Brittish with Lucas P700 headlights. The rear "hump" has been removed making this one a "slantback". Gold flake with lots of yellow and white pinstripe-flames. A far-out white leather grain vinyl with gold piping interior with SW green line instruments and a cut down steeringwheel. Last but not least: 8 Scavenger pipes exiting in the rear. I wonder if theres room for a supercharged nailhead in there I'm off to the garage.
You guys make my mind spin! This stuff is cool ! Here are some of mine. The one with the green sign is what my friends at work messed with on.
Man, probably WAY too late. I just found this post. Didn't have much time to getmethin together. I don't really care about the votes anyway, they're all awesome. So, here's my 2 cents for the hell of it. Pretend it's kandy tangerine with panel painted lace work. And red windows or someithin.
I'll get you next time! (or the time after that.) Great job all and And,you deserved evry vote. Your drawing is fantastic. GaryC., Slide, you guys made it really tough. We need to get more folks involved. More artists and if every person who views would vote that would be really cool. Even if I lost by 1,000 vote I'd appreciate the involvement. Hats off to all who participate and thanks Nate.
Hey thanks everyone for the votes and warm welcome. There is some serous telent here on the HAMB. Can't wait to see what people come up with for the next challenge.
