I've been struggling for around a year to get my 8BA powered '36 to run right and tonight for the first time that mission was accomplished. "Richard in Florida" a many time contributor here on the Barn finally was able to sort this out for me and get the 276 running the way it should. It turned out to be the MSD twisted cable that runs from the converted Chevy distributor to the MSD box needed to have the connection reversed from what MSD shows in their instructions. The car really moves now with still further tuning ahead. Going to post a video on youtube.

Congrats. Love your 36. My best friends Dad had a 36 tudor when I was about 10 yrs old. Same colour with orange rims. Not as low and small block powered but man I loved that car and was sad when he sold it.
Post a link to the video, would love to hear it and see more of your car.

  5. Great looking car and it sits right, congratulations on getting the car in good running order.

I really like the color on the car & wheels.

That car is just so right. Everything there makes a very tidy package.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it's always nice to have your vision understood by others. I should also have mentioned that JWL also contributed to getting this problem sorted out, don't think anyone could have had better help than I did. 368BA.jpg
