Event Coverage H.A.M.B DRAGS 2016 - Who's Going, Watcha' Bringing?

Sadly I have missed the last couple of HAMB Drags but we are all in this year; Unless something ugly happens at the Meltdown Drags. Dad and I will be there with Dragnasty - 1953 Austin Somerset Gasser (build thread here on the HAMB). Can not wait! Who else is coming and what are you bringing?

 

I will be there, just a spectator/amateur photographer.

 

Should be there with the Bel Air if there is any left.

I'll be there in Clarence. He's been registered for all of them but broke on the way to the '13 version and is just now back on the road. In '14 and '15 I registered 'cause I thought it'd be ready but didn't make it. Life just has a habit of getting in the way. Drove it today for the first time since it broke...

 

I'll be there with a model A coupe and my wife driving. Since this picture, we put on some slicks and a 4:56 spool in the rear. With a 454 we'll likely top out well before the 1/4 mile. My wife has been trying to work up some grudge races for fun. It should be a fun day!

 

I'll be there with my 57 Ford sedan. If anything goes south, I'll be in my ole' reliable pickup.

My coupe for sure, my truck if I can get it put back together in time but that's not likely to happen.

 

Racer 29, not yet. I'm still waiting on the machine shop. I decided to go through it. It's getting an MTS cam. Just a little boost to get me up these Ozark hills.

I fly out to the salt flats tomorrow to run the 974 Studebaker. A few days on the salt. The old truck is ready to go to the drags when I return. A busy couple of weeks. I leave on the day of my wedding anniversary (46 years), return home, and leave for the HAMB Drags. Good wife.

My brother thinks he can beat me with a Ford at the drags.

With any luck I will have a T roadster in my drive in Sunday. My typical HAMB Drags August. I will spend the week of the drags tuning the roadster and working on a '49 sedan. My missus just smiles and says that my only real girl friends smell like old oil and rust.
