Still waiting to hear from a couple more guys about the auction.

If you like the books we did for the kids, you may like what we did for the adults who entered a car. These were in the goodie bags. I really like the way these turned out.

The coloring book and the "trading cards" are way cool ideas....get 'em involved at a young age and appeal to the collector side of car guys....very smart ...I like it!

  4. Very cool initiative Bart; I'm sure every carshow promotor in the US will be asking for kids coloring pages for their shows now hahaha ;)

How will an auction work? With so many people wanting them, wouldn't it be easier to just set a fixed price and sell them outright?

If you decide to get these made I would like to buy two please. I'm certain that a worthwhile charity could be found that all of the artists could get behind.

What a way to spread the gospel of traditional hot rodding.

  11. I'd love to get 3 for my girls and 1 for me too.
How about putting them in the classifieds at a reasonable price for those of us who can't afford the way the auctions usually go.;)

  15. Other than the FAS I don't normally contribute to the full size car stuff because at the moment i do not have one to work on.

BUT when I see a good idea and i think i can help I do.

Here is what i was thinking. To make it as affordable as possible and save someone a lot of expense and time copying and binding the booklets, maybe create a file with all the pages in it on a website and pay a set fee to get a password or access code that allows you permission to print the file containing the pictures.

New "booklets" (files) might be created quarterly by the artists or a particular edition may contain a theme or who knows what else someone may dream up!

    Just a thought.

Thanks again Bart for letting me be a part of this. Getting to contribute something alongside some of my art heros and a couple of friends too was a great and sometimes very humbling experience. The books look awesome and it's been hard to not get mine stolen by kids and adults alike! I would be fine with a HAMB auction and if some were sold with the proceeds going to some kind of childrens charity that would be fine with me also. You did great Bart good job!

This one always makes me smile. I can just imagine some kid "borrowing" dad's race car!

I have heard from all but 3 of the artists. All have said yes to an auction if it goes to the HAMB.

Hold tight while I chase down the last couple of guys...
