Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Speedrome, Oct 1, 2009.

  1. I,m in with Lowcab
I,m sure there are more FAST members that would like to contribute to a HAMB coloring book that could be used at car shows thru out the year or sold for HAMB benefit
    I would contribute a page

    Those kick ass!

I think these would make AWSOME Hamb Auction items... if you're so inclined.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I am extremely happy with these books and people's reactions. But the Artists are the real heros because they trusted my instincts.

Since everyone involved donated their time and talent I can't sell them. It wouldn't be right for me to make money off of them.

Considering an auction once I hear back from all the artists. Most have said yes already.

Sounds like I better chose a charity to receive the cash from sales when we do this next year.

    More images.

Unpacking last night I found a box full of colored pages. I'll sort through them and scan a few.

I hope to include one in next year's book.

From a guy who couldn't draw flies with a bucket of s**t or an old Ed Roth shirt... Those are fantastic!
If they could come available quickly I would gladly take a box/case.
They would make great Christmas gifts/cards.
The possibilities here are endless. Maybe add a box of crayons in Hot Rod colors. (Big Olds Lavender?)
This was a great idea that has grown it's own wings.
    Awaiting a price.

The picture of the kids you posted is priceless, It really brought a smile to my face:D. I believe that not only will you get a few kids interested in cars, you might be feeding the young minds of future F.A.S. members.

Thank you for thinking of the kids.

I'd throw a couple of Abe's your way and you could put the $$ towards the HAMBAndy fund! You could throw 1 or 2 back for my kids!

Cool idea and great art work. Just think, if there was ever a HAMB coloring book it would have to come in volumes. :D

Bart- A HUGE thank you for asking me to be a part of all of the collectively AWESOME talent that contributed to the coloring book! It was indeed and honor to contribute to the cause. My son has been anxiously awaiting a copy as am I.
You're a pretty awesome guy to include the kids and get them participiating in this great hobby/culture of ours. Count me in for next year!

  24. Man, that's a fantastic project. We've been hosting a Drag Strip Reunion for the past seven years and we've always had special 'Door Prizes' for the Gals and the Kids that attend. This year my wife put together some candy/gift filled cars (heavy paper thingys like you get at a drive-thru) for the kids and they loved 'em. This Coloring Book idea is brilliant.
If you decide to move forward with the project PLEASE let me know. We'd gladly buy DOZENS of them for our event, AND to help out with your charity. Best of Luck Bart, and congrats on a Winner!

I'd be interested in a copy as well, gotta get my son interested in cars...

Maybe you could print a bunch, sell them here and after you cover your expenses donate the rest of the $$$ to the HAMB / Ryan.
  27. It was a privilege to be included among such accomplished and
incredibly talented artists. Thanks for the opportunity Bart Man.

I agree, I have no problem buying them, especially if the money is going to a good cause, and I'm sure the artists (maybe except that Norwell fellow :) ) wouldn't mind them being sold with the money going to charity. I'd buy a few for my little ones.
