Gee that Super looked sweet....
Here are a pair of 57's my dad owned. He bought the yellow Century in 1987 from the original owner in Cumberland, B.C. for $1000 the car was all original with twin antennas and dual mirrors out on the front fenders. They bought it new at a dealer in Courtenay, B.C. He sold it in the early 1990's to some one from Edmonton, Alberta. He bought the blue Super from an actor in Lions Bay, B.C. in 1990 for around $3300 and later sold it too
Love the super mate....That blue is so nice...Class.
I have a 57 special . Does any one have a diagram of vacume lines . REPLACED WIPER motor with elec. line ted. and went down toward oilpan . Whats up with that? Vacume pump in pan ?
Just got her home. Now the fun part. Might need help finding parts.
I installed some custom lenses on my 57 special. Not to hard a little fab and wiring . They look great at night !
I bought this one off a HAMBer and drove it a couple of years, went to upper Michigan then.
Guys, where can I get a float (fuel) sending unit for my '57 Special? I got one from a vendor that 'said' it was the same as for a 55-57 Chevy but it's way off. Mine is only a float and the one I got was a pickup a
Sending unit providers? Are there any still in business?
try this place
One of my all-time favorite cars.
Still kickin myself for not buying this very nice Century about 20 yrs ago. IIRC , it was less than $5k.
Ran great and sounded nice.
And, this is one that I did buy but never did anything with it. It didn't run and needed extensive work on all the lower body. Sold it to a guy in Arizona for parts he needed to finish a restoration.
Excuse my SIL's butt. LOL
