Now there's a couple of hooligans. I bet Wally Parks canceled their NHRA membership. Real slick cover-up of the Iskendarian decal.
"Take it easy on the highway, we don't want to attract attention." Yah, right! Like a hot roadster wouldn't attract attention among a bunch of stockers!
I used to watch Highway Patrol as a kid, but the funny thing is that in just a few years later, these "Hooligans" transitioned into "Beatnicks on a trip" when Joe Friday showed up on the scene with Dragnet.
Maybe the superchargers were the ones that went under the carbs. Weren't they called tornadoes or something like that?!
........I remember seeing ads for those things back in the day. Supposed to increase horsepower, help get better fuel mileage and all sorts of other miracles.......Seems they were supposed to create a vortex effect that atomized the fuel mixture better than just the carb and force the mixture into the chambers like a supercharger...........I think we're showing our age by admitting that we remember them.
I'm just glad he didn't strip out that wing nut with his crescent wrench while he was tweaking the supercharger.
Love the car! And the story line is okay, despite several technicalities. But who the heck would stay standing in the middle of the road when they hear the roar of a car coming?!! It's not like it was a blind corner or something. Who writes this stuff...
