I prefer the deep maroon on it, reminds me a bit of the good old zephyrs. But the styling is just amazing, I love the originality of it and feel of it in general. Works well without the rain gutters as well and hardtopped.

Lovely m'dear. Keeping those man sized dents in the rear quarter? Reckon you'll get an invite to the Meltdown Reliability Run now - pity you'll get that Merc beached on the "flat" roads up here though!

Krap!!! I just noticed that your not from around here. Sad because I'll
never be able to see the Merc in person. Please take a lot of pictures
and post them. We were talking about the project the other day,
    wondering about your progress.

    Keep up the good work.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

    :D I'm a keeper for sure! :D

I think a deeper maroon would be really nice! Like that DeSoto with a Zeph. tail end.

I'll get a peekture of it!

John Asked me to show him a more teal-green color on the Merc...

So this is what I made

And while I was at it I made a few more quick color samples...

rikster's historical perspective and photoshop skills influencing an incredible build in the uk. it's almost like channeling a new kustom from the dead.

and kudos to koppak for having the balls to cut the merc like this.

    seriously cool.

I knew I had seen it somewhere besides here lately.
I've never been a fan of 3 window Mercs but I am fast becoming one.

    Just thought of something ,
How do you guys recess a license plate ?
You plates are like three and half feet long or like 1067 mm to be proper I guess

We have a special provision in our law that allows the use of a US size plate providing the car has a recess that is designed for that size plate as standard. \So you make your recess the right size for a US size plate and then just insist it's standard fitment.

Killer car John, can't wait to see it rolling.
I looked through the different color scheme's. They all look good. When I got to the black one, it looked REALLY good. Makes the car look sinister.

  25. Here is a 3 window shoebox here in New Zealand.
    Not sure of it's origins.
