  1. it was a hardware mesh i bought at a flea market. it is either really hard aluminum or a softer stainless.

    Just ran across this thread while doing a search on 54 Fords, and saw these pics. Look what I saw at TROG west just a few weeks ago.

    I can't seem to "get behind" it either, but it was unusual enough that I had to snap a pic of it.

    That Lincoln "Twin Nose" came out of Lee Hartung's museum, in South Chicago.
    Can't recall the story behind it, thou.
