LOL I used to go to a doctor that had Hustler in his waiting room. I think he must have specialized in the Darwinian Drip. :D

  2. Now Beeno, your going off topic but I will interject this thought on the subject.

I don't have a clue as to what the Darwinian Drip is unless it a local colloquialism for the clap, but I have never seen anything in a doctors waiting room any more stimulating than National Geographic. HRP

Picked this up for a song and a dance, not real sure what I am going to do with it, but may start to repair someday when I have the time.

    Looks like a worthy project

I think a lot of them will save if a man just wants to and has a little patience.

IMG_20170422_162151404.jpg About 30 yrs ago I was at Carlisle and saw a Hercules grille shell. Thought it was cool, but wouldn't pay the $200 the guy wanted. Finally found one about 10 years back and put it on an open wheeled 38 Dodge p/up I was working on. Sold it with the truck. New owner didn't use it, so I bought it back. May put it on my A Tudor, but I'm getting flack from my son and buddies that it's too rat roddy. Not sure what to do.....

I would say that just hanging 19 deuce grills on the wall is pretty much hoarding. Sorry. Looks pretty obvious.

  17. Displayed like that I would not call it hoarding, I'd call it an art installation!

  19. I only hang up the rough ones that are harder to sell. I either use the good ones or sell them to help fund the current project.[IMG]

  20. That's a clean looking unit

Separate story. My uncle found a 33 ford shell in the weeds at his friends farmstead. Owner had never seen it and didn't know when it came around. He's been there 55-60 years and his dad or grandpa must've left it a looong time ago. Told Unc to take it. Hung it for a bit and then sold it for big bucks. $150! (3 years ago)

Is there a need for a HAMB "Original 1932 Ford Grill & Shell Wallhanger list" ? Wonder what the total number is? Bob

    upload_2017-4-26_4-15-17.png a custom 1939 Plymouth grill
    Hello,

A couple of months ago, my wife and I were having a nice lunch at this low key, hole in the wall, diner at a surf community in So Cal. The meal was pretty good, but as we were eating and talking, this photo poster was behind my wife’s head and I kept looking at it. At first, it was out of place because of the ton of sunsets, waves, pier photos were plastered all over the walls. But, as the conversation/lunch continued, I just could not help looking at the photo. (Yes, I was being a good listener and heard what my wife was saying during this lunch conversation!)

First of all, it was a great angle shot. Second, the color was outstanding and finally, it was something I had never seen before. Later on, I found out that it was a 39 Plymouth. These coupes and sedans are a cross between a Ford and a Willys, with its own distinct styling.(IMHO)

I found this one sedan delivery on the web and it had the “look” going for it.

Please, 40 FORD FANS AND FANATICS, I love the 40 Ford, since we owned two sedan deliveries within 10 years. But, sitting down looking at the front of this Plymouth delivery adapted to the rest of the 40 Ford Sedan Delivery would look rather unique.

Despite what the front ¼ photo looks like, if this were to be grafted onto a 40 Ford Sedan Delivery front, the look would be perfect. It has just enough of a smooth business look to fit the body styling of the 40 Ford Sedan Delivery. Plymouth fans, no knock on the original design, but we are looking at different possibilities here. My wife likes the back of the 40 Ford compared to the 39 Plymouth sedan delivery. She is a hard customer to please when it comes to cars and design.

Plus, I like the way the hood arrangement functions. That is extremely cool looking.
