I'm trying to install the factory style grill shell cord lacing on a 1933 Ford. It wants to bunch up in the corner next to the radiator cap. Are there any tricks to get this stuff to bend easier and make it lay flat? Soak it in something? Picture is of the problem area on a 34 grill with older 'worn in' lacing.

    thanks
