Yes sir. It will be good times. I can't wait. See you there Dennis.
Counting the days down to the dirt drags....You know Bruce we just might have to line up together and get down and dirty on that dirt track!
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!
Check out the newest issue of Car Kulture Deluxe!
Mine came in the mail yesterday and has a feature on the RPM nationals. Somebody made it into the magazine.

Awesome Bruce, I got my acceptance too this week but my Flathead is at the machine shop, no pressure it will get done in time
Aww' man ... you two finally get to run 'em ?? Which one has oxygen injection, or nitrous hidden ?
Oh we are definitely gonna run each other. But I only have three gears!

@paintslinger805, I was snooping around and found another shot with Grandpa's Hotrod in it and thought you'd like to have it in your thread...Hope all is well and Hypersonic is giving you plenty of Good Hotrod Kharma
My apologies if its old news but I can look at these shots over and over and they never get old...

...somewhat old news but it's a pretty darn cool story...Grandpa couldn't have been wrapped up in a more interesting arena that's for sure...Hotrods, Hotrods and more Hotrods...
...@paintslinger...I just was snooping around again.........and I found this pic and it led me to a Families Webpage and this fella that owned this Hotrod had association with Your Grandpa's Club The Pasadena Roadster Club...Perhaps they Know one another...
His name is Robert (Bobby) Lawton Speik
He around 90 but still around as there is no 2nd date...so hope he is well...
The Stories at the Link below...and hey I know it's a longshot but maybe there's more pics with Gramps and a few 32 parts...
Anyways that's the find of the day for me...hope it connects...
Santa margarita ranch California.
This is the third year of the rpm nationals. The greatest hotrod racing out there. We race in an airstrip that’s got to be about 1/2 mile long.
I won longest burn out! Was burning the tires every race. I need better tires. I won three races though the day. I was also sick as hell throwing up.
Wow we should try and locate his information and send an email. He may have lots of pictures of the lakes and Hotrods.
I don't see any email links to that webpage...But perhaps a name search by phone-book would get a verbal connection...Below is another link to a site with this former Hotrodder doing mountaineering but again no Contact info...
Now at the bottom of this link below you can type a message I believe to Robert who is at the helm of the Mountaineering website...
Here’s a good set of pics. Of me and fellow Hamb member socaltex getting it on. This race was for 100 bucks. I won and told him to put the money into his gas tank since he drove from Arizona and I drove 20 minutes to the ranch. Good times..
Great reading and story. What a at journy.
I have to ask though: The rear axle is a bit too far forward compared to the wheel well? It doesnt quite match...or is it on purpose to match your grandfathers car?
(Oh and I took the liberty and did a small tveak in the lower pic and moved the wheels a bit back made them a thad larger. Sorry. Couldnt resist)
Pretty sure that's how the wheel sits stock in the wheel well. With fenders, it's not as noticeable.
Jimmy barter designed the driver t-shirts for the 2019 rpm nationals. Killer design thanks jimmy.
El mirage nov 9th 2019. History is still being made out there!
