Nice looking car, great lines. For some reason, I seem to find myself preferring those old coupes in the "as built" configuration instead of chopping or otherwise messing with them. They just look right, as is. Must be old age.

    Yep ...
Some call it old age, some call it maturity.
I prefer to call it the onset of good taste! ;)

Looks like about a gallon of 'Navel Jelly', wire brushes and some good primer you'd have a decent lookin' old Nash!
Good to see you got it safely home.

    Congradulations!

Oh man, what a find! Don't know when I've seen that body style. Have fun! Hope you post progress shots.
here's a couple pics of the 37 Ambassador we brought back from NY last week. My wife made me buy it, to build for her (I'll keep her). 472 Caddy goes in, but keeping body pretty stock.
That rumble-butt is gonna be one helluva ride.

The rear profile of the door is killing the lines on that car.

It looks like they used a front door off a four door sedan or something.

But good looking car anyways would be a nice platform for a prewar custom

I think a lot of people think the doors should be rounded...Sorry guys, she's staying as is! That's what makes her unique! Plans? Still trying to decide.....

    Great looking "face"
It's going to be beautiful with the top chopped so the door window is about as tall as where it's rolled down to now...
And those wheels will look great with some candy colors fogged on to accent those embossed scallops.
Lets see, what else, channel it and lose the running boards, move the fenders up on the 1/4 panel.
    Is another grill a possibility?
That dent's going to be difficult to fix without cracking the casting. maybe reproduce it in stainless.
    It's a handsome looking grill...
Did I say I like it?!

Cool coupe for sure. You should hear the story of ButcherTed's Nash and what he went through to get it. But talk about a RIDE! He could right a book on that one. But it's one impressive Rod as I'm sure yours will be......................

  25. That thing is awesome just as is...even with those doors.;) I'd just get that thing motor-vatin' and have a TON of fun!

I wouldn't change anything on the body. Even if its is tall, it looks very cool. The wheels are something else too. Great find there, wish I could run into something like that. Too bad you couldn't find a Hopped up Hudson 6 for a motor. That would be pretty expensive though.:D

That's what I like to hear, someone that doesn't care what other people think. Your car will be great when its done! I like different. Keep us posted on your progress!
