Taking out the old headliner on the grand prix today and this little guy dropped from the sky and landed right in my magnetic tray. Ill admit creeped me out for a second, then I laughed for a minute after that.

    Thought I would share

This site is for traditional hot rods, not rat rods.

You didn't notice a strong odor that lingered more than the usual ones?
You know the ones people say smell like something died inside of you.

I say frame it and mount it on the shop wall. Could be your new mascot.

  15. It would make a great hood ornament.
In a couple of months it could be the coolest skeleton Hood ornament around,Rat roddrs be jealous!

  16. Reminds me of when I used to work on air planes...

A customer would bring a plane in... complaining of a stench.

    We'd say "Let's find Mickey!"

And we'd spend anywhere from a few minutes to the whole afternoon taking the plane apart trying to find the dead mouse!

Often times they would cut themselves on a sharp piece of aluminum... and then bleed to death.

And then stink to high heaven!

I bet yours reeked for a few months...

Got the car at an auction a couple of months ago, been sitting outside for who knows how long. So I think the little fella has been up there for a while.

At my shop a customer brought his Ford P.U. in,said his Lady would'nt ride in it because of the smell.I Found a Mouse in the Heater Blower with the top of his Skull Shaved off by the Fan Blade .Hard to find until we realized the stink was coming through the Heater outlets.

Mouse piss at the roof line and the resulting rust issues have destroyed a ton of good cars. Everybody needs a good house cat!

Many years ago I was briefly stationed at Camp LeJuene (USMC base) on a special detail. One day myself and one of the Marines there went to a McDonald's drive-thru for lunch. He tore off a piece of his hamburger, turned the sunvisor down and put the food thru a hole in the headliner.

All of a sudden little feet started scurrying from the rear corner of the headliner (which was sagging down and stained). Whatever it was got the food from the front of the car and then returned to the back.

Before I could even ask (I guess I had that WTF look on my face) the guy tells me it's his pet hamster 'shithead'. He'd moved back on base and wasn't allowed to have pets in the barracks, so he just let it live in his car. Apparently it got out of it's cage and made a nest in the headliner, and he just let it be and fed it occasionally.

I thought that car smelled funny, but being a Navy man I figured that's just how Marines smelled - haha.

Carpet is in pretty good shape so I haven't messed with it yet, I'm sure I'll get a few more surprises when I do!
