Have pics or info on your rear hitch? I'm putting a receiver hitch on mine along with the mustang tank ,so it is tight underneath
Sid...I need to send you my axle...I have mono's on the back and I have reversed hangers and shackles on the back.

That is such a great looking truck. While I'm sure the girl is nice, yada yada. Id rather see the pictures of the truck without her blocking the view.

Ive been looking for a decent looking rear bumper for my 62, yours looks pretty good. Can you tell me what its from?
CG its a dodge truck bumper from a little red express truck. The width was perfect , I put the notch in the top to clear the tailgate and not hang down below the bed.I also fabbed up and welded the brackets .
My 56 Dropped axle, Y Block with T5
I know I've posted on this thread before but its such a long term project, here it is again.
What I started with:
Not finished but current state:
My beater beside the glass shop owners chopped 56 yesterday after I got a new windshield installed there
Mine still gets used as a work truck on a fairly regular basis
Dang that is a beauty! Care to share any details, like suspension setup, tire size?
Thank s Phillips, I'm running a early 70s 460/c6 combo with the original 9 inch. Front suspension is mustang 2 from JW rod garage with 2 inch dropped spindles and the rear is flipped on top of the springs. Front are 215/70/15 on 6 inch rims rears are 255/70/15 on 8 inch rims.
Thanks for the info, Ill have to check into finding one. If they only came on the 78 Dodge express truck it may be difficult to scare one up.
I have two builds going at once, this is truck #2 as found and as of last week.
I agree , I thought about that before I cut it up!!! But it was pretty rusty . I only knew it was a dodge because it had a mopar symbal on the broken license plate light. After looking at pics online I found out what it was. I think the ford rear bumpers can look good too but the stock brackets hold the bumper down and out too far.
48 F-1 with 52 nose. Built in 80's 462 Lincoln tri-power C-6 Volare front suspension, chopped, lowered
Thanks for the details - I'm REALLY missing my 65 F100 shorty and want to replace it, except this time I want a long bed, you NAILED the stance!
