    from nowhere...

Did you try posting a "looking for my old..." thread, about it?
With the amount of folks on here, I think nearly every one of the "looking for/looking for info" threads turns up somebody, at least, that has a lead on it...or, hell, half the time they will post a pic of it ten minutes later, and say, "yeah...that thing is over at the gas station across the street"!!!

Might try that...I'd be curious to know it's fate, too...it looks like a real nice truck, AND, I'm always happy to find "historical support" for my trucks CAN be real race cars theory.

Looks a lot like the one I got from Mid Fiftys. Mine came "as cast" and I had to polish it myself, add the engine turned insert and indicator lights. I kinda like the way it turned out.

    >>>>>>Dirty Thirty; i watched a "My Classic Car" epesode last summer ,,they were at a car show in Anchorage Alaska and was featuring a VW multi 21 window van ,,right behind that VW was a line of '53-'56 Ford F-100 pee cups ,,my old Truck was sittin' right there ,,still primered in baby blue ,,so i know it's still in Anchorage ,,only now a street driver ,,not a drag racer ,,
just gotta get the guy to give me a eMail ,,

This has been sitting in my gramps back yard for 25 years. He passed away 2 years ago. Pulled her out this weekend and drug her home. She will get a clean Hot Rod look. Keeping the Merc eng as my gramps had a few speed parts for it.

Here is my 58, that I just picked up and brought home, was sitting in a field for 15 years. Its fitted with a 59 or 60 headlight/grill setup. Looking to swap it over to a 57 grill. (so if anyone knows of one available, please shoot me a message. thanks)

    Here's a pic of the 55 I had.
Bought it new in the fall of 1955...1 month later I put a
345 ci Cadillac in it with 3 Bendix Strombergs, an H&C roller cam
and a vertex mag. A 37 LaSalle transmission.
Towed the race car to Bonneville a couple times with it.
The pic was taken in 56 after I put a 56 grille in it.
