What a beautiful F1.
Some I saw this past weekend
The F1 I have been driving for 33 years,
the M3 I bought 16 years agoand have been driving it for the past 4,
the F100 I sold 3 years ago and has been used in three Hallmark Evergreen Christmas movies.
Long gone but was a fun truck.
Always put a Smile on my face.
I've been in bodywork mode. The cab is chopped about an inch on the A-pillars.
Nice job on the chop.
What/how do you deal with chopping windshield?
It's simple @verde742, you just buy a dozen windshields and start cutting until you have removed "about 1 inch" without a crack!
GEEEZ. WHY DIDNT. I THINK OF THAT !
Looks great! I like the profile from the side. I've always wondered why Ford let that original design go to production, with the rain gutter running uphill to the front. It drives me nuts when people chop these and don't correct the "problem".
Maybe Ford saw Rain Gutter running DOWN, and away from windshield.
That is true for the rain gutter theory, but for hot rodders it just ruins the "look".
I haven't dealt with cutting the windshield yet, but I have a few ideas. I'm confident I'll get it cut in only one, maybe two windshields. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
Any time you give any car or truck a hot rod rake, you essentially create the same situation – drip rails sloping down toward the front of the vehicle. In my view, this isn't a problem – it's an improvement.
I had to go check my garage when I first seen this truck posted!! Not my 64
My 64 !! Great mind think alike !!!
My baby. 1948 F1 and going to be painted in this color.
