I'm thinking of painting my electra convertible "Gold" metalflake and run the Coker Goldline tires. Question is "do you think they would look good on a full kustom" or "are they more for muscle cars". Opinions welcome.

I think it would look rad... Also, check into vogue tires... They make a really cool double line tire... About a 1" white wall, a gap, then a 1/4" gold stripe... I love them.

i'd like to run gold lines mounted on motor wheel spiders for my 64 catalina. they're the only 15" wheels i have in 5 on 5 :)

  5. Here's a Vogue tire, picture it with your choice of wheel/hubcap...

I ran those same Vogues on my '55 Olds back in the late 70's- Early '80's

Kevlar "Aramid" belted radials then, are they still?

    ETA:
I jusat remembered, I had a set on my flat Black '88 Astro Van just a few years (3?) ago too, with Eldorado wire wheel hubcaps.
Still got the hubcaps, junked the Van.

I had a set of Vogues on wire wheels on a Caddy about fifteen years ago. I love 'em. I think they'd look good on the Recycler's fueler.:D

In that pic, they almost look yellow...Do they really look gold in real life?

they're more yellowish than goldish. there was a riv a few years ago that had a set on some supremes. custom rodder probably, 'black fly' maybe?

p.s. the tread pattern's pretty odd looking, tho...

The tires on my '64 Olds are going to get a similar, Krylon based treatment. I'm going to keep the 3/4" white stripe that's on them now, and add a 1/4" or so gold stripe about a half inch above.

Vogues are great looking tires, I think I can replicate the look on a normal tire pretty easy.

And as for gold walls looking good on an Electra, I'm all for it.
