Anyone have their engine painted gold? I was wanting something in a metallic gold and even considered Oldsmoble gold. I don't want to go with black or the chevy orange, the gold would kinda stand out I thought. No hood so I'd like something different. Anyone recommend something and maybe have a pic? The VHT gold looks plain looking on the cap, may look different on the engine.

The Olds color does look pretty good, on the thread "Redo the 32" he said his was painted Olds gold. It looks pretty good. Don't want a custom color, I'll drive this a lot, may need a touch up.

If you come to the shop one day we'll take the short ride over to Williams paint supply. Pick a color and he'll mix it and put it in a spray bomb for ya. Or get a quart and you'll have plenty for touch up if ya need it.

I did this one with Duplicolor universal gold rattle cans from O’Reillys. I used the same paint on the engine in my ‘31 Tudor a few years back and it still looks good. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
