  2. Lost this one a few years ago. Canine bloat -- please be aware of it. no real way to alleviate once it begins.
What a docile personality. At least 15 trips from Michigan to Oregon in at truck while moving.

^^^Sorry for your loss. We do go on in life and time does eventually ease the pain but most never really forget their canine buddies. I think part of our reward for giving our dogs a good home while we have them is the fond memories we have of them after they are long departed to wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge.
    All the best,
    Al

And they are worth every "accident" you will ever have to deal with too!
I must be getting mushy in my old age, these little guys make me melt every time I see one.
Our guy Cole is a miniature Schnauzer mix (not positive what he's mixed with), and quite often people at the dog park ask me if he is a "Labradoodle".

My dog is a hair factory...He could supply enough for half dozen sweaters a day..His hair is non-magnetic though, it falls off you eventually; in the car, on the floor, down the cellar, in the garage...Every wheres out side..Funny I was watching a little bird running around picking up all the 2" long hairs, when he got a good bundle he'd fly off, looked like he had a mustache..Maybe he was knitting a nest...

My new pup <- loves the shop, gets his nose into whatever I'm doing, which makes me super happy because my other 4 year old mutt (whom I did not get as a pup) avoids the place like it's on fire. I'm hoping I can train the new guy to be of some help out there but so far all he excels at is grabbing some crucial nut or bolt and depositing on the lawn unbeknownst to me. So have any of you trained your dog to get the 9/16 open end or anything useful?

The other thing is, besides the obvious antifreeze, what other potentially hazardous things are to be addressed?

  15. Sharp stuff on the floor , swarf etc , rodent bait , and , as a pup , every thing goes in the mouth so any other liquids.

Other than any other solvents welding is top on the list; they will watch and get eye damage, noise too as they have a lot of hearing [maybe selective at times!]..Current dog will have nothing of the garage but he does come visit once in a while to make sure I'm not eating something and a pet or two then its back upstairs, loves riding in the cars and walks in the woods, very guard dog around home, doesn't say boo out and about but very watch full over kids...Previous retriever would stick around and I could give him a note [I need a coke] and send him to the wife; he'd have to bother her for 10 minutes before she would see the note..She would send him back with a note [its in the fridge!] and he thought that was great fun..

  30. I had to bury my little buddy of 15 years on Sunday. 1/2 Chihuahua and 1/2 Poodle known as a Poochi. If you told him to "load up" or asked "you want a ride in the car", he'd go into full tail spin and head for the car. I miss him so much.
