My Husky always wants to drive too. I tell him he can't get a license until he's 16 and the DMV doesn't go by dog years.

Chip......Years ago when I got my first Greyhound we were at Petsmart and I was asking someone who worked there where something was and I looked down and my dog had his leg lifted pissing all over a new stack of books waiting to go on the shelf.....Needless to say, they were not happy but they did not make me pay for them because they said stuff like that happens every day there. I was embarassed but it seems the dog was pretty happy about it.....

Once one dog pisses somewhere, all other males have to.

Corky, the cairn in my avatar went with us to shows for years. He's been gone for a few years, but now we have two cairns, Jesse and Cody, that love to ride along.

Well, I came home from work yesterday and this guy was there. Seems my wife decided we need another dog. He is about 2 years old, very mellow and seems like a decent enough guy, even though he is freaking huge. My first look at him was him taking a dump in the back yard......I think we are going to call him Jacapo after a character in one of my favorite movies "The Count of Monte Cristo". At least that is what I am calling him.....

No... The peeing on stuff was while walking out the door! We had already been 86'd very calmly by the Petsmart manager at that point already! "Sir, while it is Petsmart's policy that all animals are welcome in our store, we would prefer that your schnauzer be caged or not come back in our store. Good day!"

I had taken Rocky to get his shots to one of Petsmart's Saturday morning clinics... After I calmed him down to keep him from eating a cat waiting as well, a Chihuahua apparently mumbled a anti German dog racial slur and it was on! My normally (well as normal as a Schnauzer gets!) calm, cool, collected dog turned into basically a control line model airplane on a five foot leash... After what seemd like 10 laps, reeling him in and calming him down, that's when the store manager stepped into the picture. I was never so proud (head held in shame)... He was never so glad to get back into the Plymouth and get his nose in the wind!

I had this beautiful doberman... photo of her with my dad back in the day. she knew to guard anything i told her to with her life. One night i was cruising the loop in my old beater with her in the back and i noticed that my buddy was at the movie theater with his new girlfriend.

I pulled in the lot, and as always his door was unlocked, so i called her out of my car, into his car, shut the door and simply said... "Guard the car."

Next trip around the loop, there was my buddy and his terrified girlfriend standing about 10 feet away from his car with my baby looking at him through the window with that, "come a little closer look and see what you get" look on here face. He was a good sport and i just whistled and she jumped back in the beater.

31 years later, he still has that girl and they have five kids and he still tells people the story about that 'scary ass dog' of mine i put in his car.

It finally happened - Henry, my buddy in the back seat, (the first post), died 7/15/2011. We were to make another cross country trip and he died the day before I was to leave. Definately the sad part of dog ownership! He was not a full blood Flat Coated Retriever but that is what he looked like. These dogs are not very common and if anyone out there knows of one, I sure would like another!

These are my two! They've just come out of the river!

They are a pair of Border Terriers (I call them Terriorists!) The older one, Bob has been on many trips and cruises with me, he's 13 years now, so I got another to keep him company. Harry is 2 years old now, and tries to rule the roost!
Here is Harry just four/five months old.

    Wouldn't be without them!

    They are in there somewhere!!

Mutly, I see you, but where's the dog?

  24. He looks just like my boy Leroy, I got him when he was 2 years old and your right about them taking a dump, freakin' huge.
I'd say he is an American Lab by the shape of his head and the fur, does his tail kinda fan out at the end and does he hold it up when he walks, typical of the American Lab.

    is that a boston?

  26. Hank is my son's dog but he spends most of his time with me. We do the cruise in's, going for coffee, parts runs, etc, and Hank sits there riding shotgun, all serious. I was in getting a taco the other evening and I see this Chevy Tahoe circle
    my 41 Chevy Truck
. I finally see him stop, and get his camera pointed to the passenger door and start taking pictures of Hank. Hank just sat there looking like WTF.

Safe it is the right way I guess...."

Figure the odds. He is barely 6 inches at top of head and she is almost waist high at the back. Yeah they are sweet on each other.
Her brindle and him peanut butter. pups came out all different color. All healthy and favoring dad. 6 of the 8 have found homes. The remaining two are partners in crime and are mine.
They even put themselves to bed at night.
Momma and her two pups having their daily nap!

    I had a pitbull/rottweiler mix that I called a rottn'pit. His name was Hank.

This is the new pup, almost 2yrs. I don't know why but he always looks like he's up to something.
