One of the things I look forward to each year, believe it or not, is waiting in line for the Saturday Drive-in. Where else in the end of January can you see 500+ cars rolling in during the early morning light, with a backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains, everyone anxious to get parked for a great day. Kuddos once again to the organizers of the Drive-in. I've heard rumblings in the past on how it works, but in MHO they have this dialed in. Everything happened as explained when you register, except about 15 mins early. It's a treat to be able to walk the cars once lined up, say hi to a few friends, and watch the characters young and old bench race, shed their top layer of clothes and welcome the sun. And there is a guy driving around on a golf cart offering to take folks to the bathroom! A good start to an always great show. Pretty orderly parking happens after that, considering the amount of cars and "cat herding" Another bonus is getting parked, set up and into the buildings before the crowds show up.
