Well where to start. On Sunday afternoon I was totally blown away to hear that I had placed in my class, "Mild Street Rod". I know my 40 isnt an actual HAMB car but I had fun participating and winning. With the competition being the way it was I didnt feel a 15 year old car with 60k miles on it stood a chance. I was wrong. On Sun AM I got in early and snapped shots in the Suede Palace, in addition I snapped the drive ins as well. Then I went accross the way to building 9 and took pics of the tribute cars. There was some neat ones in there Here are a couple of the suede ones I shot. There are many more in my photobucket if you wish to look. http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u12/hotrodjim2/GNRS 09/Suede Palace/ The building accross the way was a tribute display to the old builders and new influential builders of our time Here is the link http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u12/hotrodjim2/GNRS 09/Tribute Palace/ I know some dont like links but I dont want to try and post this many pictures.
Vendors were behind the tarps. This was early. I have a staff badge (shh dont tell anyone lol) and I can get in before anyone else. The weather was major suckie on Sat but Sun was nice. The drive in guys were mostly happy
Thanks for the great pics, Jim. It's good to see some non phoo phoo cars!!!! Don't get me wrong. I appreciate all of them, but I like suede/ and patina the best.
