We dropped in on Dean Jeffries Friday and he was every bit as gracious and welcoming as I have heard from others. He treated us like long lost friends and patiently answered every question that he has answered a hundred times before. What a class act!

    Dean keeps my kinda desk!

  7. That model railroad has been there for a long time.....Pretty cool! :)

These pictures are great, but does anyone have a picture of the O'Brien Truckers?

It's off-topic, but did anybody check out the model railroad display out back by the fountains? That thing was awesome. I've been going to the Fairplex for almost 25 years and I've never seen that before.[/QUOTE]

It's just about my favorite sled too Jim and I only knew it from pics.

The weird thing is that we had left the show on the tram headed for the parking lot and there Jesus' car was....the first car on the first row we came to by the parking gate just outside the grounds! Icing on the cake, man.

The large scale railroad at Fairplex has been in that same location since 1936. Actually was built in 1924 and moved when the race track was built.

Might be OT but you're about the third person that has mentioned it. It must have been a half block long and about a hundred feet wide. Here ya go. They were taken Wednesday and the water was not in the lakes and rivers then.
