Well... The cheaper the better. I bought several for $20.00 each. Swap meet prices range from $150.00 to $300.00. Don't forget the rotors CAN be damaged so look 'em over.

You should be able to buy 4 or 5 for $800.00.

  4. Yeah, cores go for no more than $250. I picked up a pair at a local scrap yard for cutoff price. I had brought in a huge pile of aluminum cans that covered that! :) One's on the coupe and the other is going on the digger

Only if they are NOT the "V" type using the angled mounting system.

  6. Exactly, I was referring to 4/71 and 6/71's.

  7. If they are "good" and "usable" (the rotors are critical) as they are except for cleaning etc, they are worth up $800 for a 671 and $400 for a 471. I just got a 671, ready to run with new bearings, seals, etc for $650 + shipping and was a happy camper.

8V71 rotors are worth $125.00 per pair in good condition. The cases are scrap.

A large bore 6-71 core will bring more $$$ than a small bore.... maybe $325.00.

In my part of the world, 6-71's are much more pletiful than 8's and 4's, and the pricing typically reflects that (although all are rare here, I don't have the luxury of living somewhere with a big scene, at least anymore, unfortunately, so I probably pay $400 for something alot of these guys can get for $250). I paid $375 for an absolute MINT 4-71, I would feel pretty good about myself if I bought a 6-71 at that price.
