History GM Mills in Ford Trucks. Why? Show Me Some Photos!

    Been thinking of this for a while. Seems like a lot of old photos of Ford pick-ups have the caption: Joe Bob's Ford push truck/shop truck/parts hauler with a Cadillac/Oldsmobile engine.... And it always seems to be a Cadillac or Olds.

    Why did this happen so much? Or am I just the only one noticing this? Was this an easy or really common swap back in the day?

    Whatever the reason I'm very intrigued by these recently. So tell me why and post some pictures.

    Mainly because Cads and Olds were the hot engines of the day.
