Technical Glasscock 1932 Ford - 3 Window Chop

    I love the fact that you stretched the roof insted of leaning back the a pillers. And also keeping that top hinge. When cars are done like that they look like that is how it's was made in the first place. It looks like a factory low roof car and that's what I consider perfect. Every chop iv ever done on any year car I always split the roof and never Lean pillers. I think the roof needs to be the same length just 5 or so inches shorter. My 53 Packards roof is the same legth but I chopped it 4-1/2 inches. Split the roof 5 inches and added a a section from another roof. Iv been a ghost on your threads but now I had to just let you know you got the eye and the metal skills of a master craftsmen. Good job and I can't wait to see this 3w on it's chassis and painted. And a burnout. Or two........

    This will be my first chop, it won't be easy but I'll take my time and do it right.
    I'll be using your post as a reference, and relying on the help of fellow HAMB
    members to walk me through any trouble spots.

    1000 grit then hit with the buffer for kicks .

  8. I have always stretched the roof rather that leaning the posts. Although I never did a 3 window. You have got it right.

    Happy to see you working on this one again. Outstanding!!! I would love to have a set of the filler strips for the door top and cab.....to go with the other panels!
