I need your help picking out a muffler 52 Buick with a straight 8 Glass Pack or Turbo II Both made by Cherry bomb Thanks
Ooohhhhh I sense another 'my muffler is bigger than yours' thread. 52Buick, I think you're goingg to find that the answers will run the gamut and eventually include brands you're not even considering, includiing some good old straight pipe. A lot of your decision will be based upon the sound you're looking for. I don't have an opinion of the Turbo II because I've never had them. I have used Glass Packs on a small block chevy and I felt the sound was too 'poppy'. Best bet is to listen to some other cars and narrow it down a little.
On an OHV V8, I actually prefer turbos - on flat V8, I prefer glass/steel packs. Can't say I've ever thought much about a straight 8... Turbo will be quieter & less harsh - good burble with nice roar at WOT Glasspack tend to be a bit harsher & a bit sharper...
