picked up a gennie shifter ,i understand they are out of business. can anyone show me the linkage for a 350 ,mine is missing .
They come with the pieces to put the same shifter on either a TH350 or a Powerglide. Mine did anyway. I put it on a Powerglide, which means there are some leftovers around here somewhere for the TH350 . If I can find it, you can have it.....but I have to find it first.
hey thanks a million you guys ,like HRP says it doesnt get any better than this. metal man thanks i could really use them .
Well, I went out to my shed and found that box of parts. It's more mounting parts than linkage. The other linkage parts must be shared with the Powerglide, and are on my car. I couldn't remember exactly which parts were left over. Here's what I have. It's yours free of charge if you can use it.
"Old Dog" Street Rod Shop in St Louis MO sells Gennie Shifter kits and parts. They have a site on-line.
Maybe i'm crazy, but in the latest Rod and Kulture, I believe there was an ad for Gennie Shifter....made in USA. All new company or ???
Guys, it's just a length of 5/16" rod stock threaded with a pair of female heim joints and jamb nuts. Just crawl under the car and make it. Simple.
man u guys are fantastic , couldnt hope for more info. thanks metal man for the offer and your trouble it is just the rod and the piece that fastens to the trans that are missing, like louvers stated the rod is no problem .i will give old dogs a call. thanks again
Call up they guys at gennie themselves! They are still in business and will help you out. I stood in their store and talked with the counter guys just a few days ago. They're closing down the "speed shop" that was here in denver and going to just gennie stuff.
You are welcome, wish it was what you needed. The shifter was given to me,so I would gladly give the leftovers to someone that could use them.
Gearhead Graphics, I'm glad they are still in business...nice products. What was the name of the speed shop?
I thought they had gone out of business. I'm glad to see they are still around. I have two of there shifters in use and think they have a great product.
