On Delco generators a ball bearing rear end plate was common on IH and John Deere tractors. these will fit on automotive generators. Sometimes a sleeve will be needed between the od of the armature shaft & the id of the ball bearing. easy to make on a lathe speedshifter Greg White

Mine came off a 57 Chevy pickup, with a 265, pulleys and all. I rebuilt mine , now the front bearing is sealed, but I still get to oil the aft bearing! The only thing I haven’t been able to find are the tiny drive screws for the data plate. I plan on firing it up soon, hope it works! I have had quite a few comments on the size of my generator drive pulley.

 

How about a Chrome 91A with a small front pulley
