    They made it to the Salt late yesterday afternoon. Setting up camp at the Bend, then were going out on the Salt for a bit, then head over to the nugget. All's well.

    we missed the 'entering nebraska' sign. i could blame it on lots of things, but the truth is that the camera was trying to focus on the windshield instead of the sign, so what can ya do? we tried to make up for it with this:

    hamber malcolm (nick) and hiboy32 (jeff) took us out to hooters and we enjoyed beer and white russians and wings and such. then nick put us up in his guest room with central air (!). he was a gracious and accomodating host and wouldn't let me buy him coffee in the morning. he bought ours instead. after caffeine, we pushed on through to laramie. we had a little trouble with vapor lock and altitude sickness like jay mentioned earlier. but we made it to laramie. the missile rd between cheyenne and laramie through medicine bow national forest is probably the most incredible road i have ever driven. amazing. so, omaha to laramie:
