Hard to believe he’s 90 years young and still creating beautiful customs. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
super Cool that he is so willing to share with others how he does stuff - but, it takes his experience to make it just right
That is so bitchin. That he's still working, and we are treated to these images and video, it's the coolest thing ever!
Gene and I had a 'rivalry' gag going about our young wives. Gene's wife was actually younger than my wife (Joey) but I got him to laugh out loud. He said they don't go to 'gin mills', she looked so young they'd card her! I said the bartender carded MY wife... He asked what she'd have and she said "Scotch and wa-wa." Wonderful guy, don't see him often enough!
Met Gene in the mid-90's at the Oakland Roadster show, he had a booth and I was after '56 Buick tail lights for my '55 Chevy. He thought a second and said he thought he had a pair at the shop. I paid on the spot, three days later they showed up at my door. Great guy. So, a technical paint question. It looks like there would be overspray on the hood from the fade. How is that dealt with, wet sand or buff?
by the look of the pic, the car has not been cleared yet... controlled overspray is part of what a fog or blend is.
