Missouri Valley Hot Rod Reunion Motorfest, Geezer Drag and Show August 28th thru the 30th 2009 A FANTASTIC day as you can see. At the Mid-America Motorplex just a few miles south of Omaha on I-29. Nice 1/8 mile strip. Lots of cars, this is just a taste with some of my artsy pics. Some of my other pics at the link below.
This 32 survivor was bought in Hawaii in 1961 by a guy in the Navy and then was shipped to the states and brought to Nebraska. Still with the same guy.
This Olds has a built 454 in it. He's from Red Oak, IA. It's a sleeper. See the sign in the rear window, that's what they ran at Bonneville this year.
I forgot to mention. Believe it or not I took these pics with my phone. A Palm Pre. It takes 3 mega pixal images. I usually take my pictures with a pocket camera put the batteries crapped out as soon as I got to the track. So I had to use my backup, my phone.
Great photos Dan, that phone takes some great pix. Cool shot of the S.O.B. (South Omaha Boys) coupe, George Roseland at the wheel took some loop da loops at high speed at Bonneville but all was ok, not sure about his undies. 186 mph 1/8 mile was quite impressive speed today, what a bad ass rail. It was my young pal Robbie Lee's birthday and he and dad Rob Lee had a cool trip around the road course. We all had a blast, thanx for the nice post. ~Sololobo~
