The Gear Jam Vintage Drags, Car Show and Swap Meet is this Saturday, April 23 at the Atlanta Dragway! The Southeast Nostalgia Drag Racers will be there with their Gassers and Nostalgia Super Stocks, and members from the Southern Slingshots will also be running. Southeast Nostalgia Drag Racers will be running during Friday Night Test and Tune if you want to come out and see them run, or if you’re a racer and would like to join them. Friday Night is separate from The Gear Jam, and is a part of the Atlanta Dragway’s Friday Night Test And Tune program Check out SNDR’s Facebook page and join the group! We have a lot of racers and show cars registered already, and our monthly swap meet averages 250-300 vendors per month; we’re expecting a HUGE turnout for the event! The Cruise-in after the event is becoming one of the most talked-about events in Georgia, and will be from 6-10pm in downtown Commerce. Live band, beer garden, food, and cruising on the main drag. (The cops are cool, but they won't tolerate anyone acting like a lugnut, so work out all your lead-foot at the track!) Race Classes: Guaranteed $1,000 purse in all classes! Car Show Judged car show sponsored by Chuck Keene’s Georgia Hot Rods. Car Show Registration: 9:00am-12:00 noon Car Show Awards: 3pm Car Show Test and Tune drag strip runs: All day long, between rounds of qualifying and eliminations. ALL TEST AND TUNE CARS MUST GO THROUGH TECH. Car Show entry: $30, gets driver and immediate family in. Racing Racer Tech Opens 8:00 am-12:00noon Race Qualifying: 10am-12:00noon Two rounds of qualifying. Eliminations to follow. Tech Card: $50, gets driver and one crew member in. Additional crew members: $10 each. First-Round Buy-Back for those who slept through the first round. Spectator Entry: All-access pass $10 per person, 10 and under free.
