Hot Rods Gasser Guys..... Who makes the best fiberglass front end???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RoadFarmer, Apr 22, 2013.

  1. Curious what other guys are running for a tilt front fiberglass front end.
I have a '55 Chevy 150 that I'm looking to get the frontend for.

Any brands to stay away from or things to look for? thanks for the help in advance

I was going to mention talk to Scott Rods. Nice stuff!

  3. most of the ones I've found have a front bumper molded into them. I'd like to find something without a front bumper.

Scott, We will provide you with some professional pics, the car is getting the interior installed, and Lonnie will be "burning rubber" soon. Here are a couple of shots, notice how the one taken from the top, was so bright it closed my camera lens. Also in the other one,the fender is not latched at the bottom, making it only appear "ill" fitting.

It seems there isn't any middle ground on that trim, they either like it or not. We are planning on racing it at the CHHR this fall, hope to see you there!

  17. I'm putting a new engine/trans together so we can be competative with Quain Stotts faster guys (5.80's-6.0's in the 1/8th9.40's-9.60's in the 1\4). Also putting the car on about a 200lb. diet. I think we'll be done in time, if not we'll make it out for spectating, and we'll come find you.

  20. Anyone care to speculate when the first glass front ends, and glass bodies(besides T buckets) came out?
