They did make em a few years. I know Ross, the guy with the Willys pickup, had an early set that he sold a few years back.

I remember those front drives.Wanted to put a 327 in my Mustang with one.
Never did see one in person.
That injection system is a really cool looking piece,TALL !
I think it's from 1970? Anyone have pictures of a race car with one on it?

I have a Pete Jackson unit like that but no throtle plates or injectors. Its cool but a little crude compared to a hillborn or enderle, I think. Might turn mine into a lamp.

    Hey raffman,
If you still have this unit, I would be interested in buying it. Let me know. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there is something about them in one of the Hot Rod yearbooks from around 1970. I will try to remember to have a look at the weekend.

    VAPHEAD,
Did you sell the unit raffman had, or the unit pictured above?

  10. Pete Jackson, was the master mind, behind Enderle fuel injection in the early 60's, and yes he was Kong Jackson's brother. Hot Rod had an article on setting one of these up for street use, it was on a small block in a 57 chevy....Ed

Yep. It is from Hot Rod Yearbook #11 and didn't scan all that well as I couldn't get it very flat on the scanner.

I'll make up for that by posting a couple miore articles from Popular Hot Rodding Engine Annual (1969) when they put Jackson FI on Project X.

Had one on a small-block road race car about 70-72. Never knew till now how rare they are (story of my life. I have discovered a bunch of rare parts......just after I sold them.) Was a very forgiving unit, didn't have to fiddle with it once it was set up.....or maybe I just didn't know any better.

Here's a set I'd bought from a E/G racer in '79. I restored and converted this set for alky. They're sweet, easy to work on and they run good.

Here's my set. I built a girdle to tie the stacks together and sandwiched it between the stacks and throttle bodies and also installed a set of Kinsler shaft splitters to have four corner Idle control.
One issue I still have is Main Jets. Where did you get yours?

Here's a Canadian A/Fuel car (pic from 1969) running 331 SBC with Jackson injectors.

Car was brought back to life by original owner as cackle car in 2010. These pics were from first fire up, and yes someone forgot the nitro mask. That's 240 Gordie Bonin in the seat, he drove car back in the day before turning professonal.

    Yo Baby,

Jackson barrel valves uses Enderle main pills. Kinsler and Good Vibrations Motorsport sells them.

As for nozzle needs, Kinsler build them.

We had one of these on a gas car we had during the mid 70's. I liked the manifold better than Hilborn even though we could not tune the stacks, and it looked cool polished and all.
We used a Hilborn pump and I always wanted to move the nozzles and change them over to common Hilborn type along with the barrel and distribution block, and return with a high speed.
The throttle shaft splitters makes perfect sense also.
