How did i miss this??? Keep going with it!!! I love the oddball projects though, looks awesome to me and i'm not normally a fan of gassers!

  3. You probably already know about them, but you might try GM Sports Salvage:

    gmsports.com

They have a lot of older stuff, and I swear I've seen a couple oof mid-60's nailhead/4-speed buicks in their in the past. If the kit your referring to is a scattershield-type set up, I can't tell you much, but they may very well have what you need if you just need a bell housing, fork, etc...

The instant progress on this is awesome...look forward to you updates

I know you're in love with "strange bird" but "identity crisis" has a nice ring to it. Was gonna name my project that but customs have nice names :D

Looks good. My 65 Falcon I cut the shock towers out and put in a Heit's Mustang II front with disc brakes and rack steering and a 351 Cleveland big block with a C6 and a 2500 stall and a 3:50 locker 9" rear. Fun to drive.

This is real hard for a man that bleeds Ford Blue and have always thought that the only reason for putting anything else in a Ford was to slow it down. I like what you are doing, it's different enough to be neat. It should be an eye catcher when finished.

There was a '65 Mustang around here back in the late sixties with a 401 in it and it was pretty fast. Keep up the good work and be sure to keep the photos coming.

    ==================================
Your Project looks great, I'm a old Nailhead fan myself.

For conversions for the transmissions you might try:

    [email protected]

Great Group of Guys. Tom Telesco, and Rusell Martin, are Nailhead Guru's. They should really be of help to you.

Also, be sure and post this link, I think you will have a lot of fans watching your build.

I think I have just missed it but, Can you post a link and name of where you got the Super Charger for your NH? Info on the cam, Forged Pistons etc. It would all be very helpful and appreciated.

I've been looking for a '23 T w/o a Engine and Tranny. I figure a Blown NH and a Switch Pitch 400, out to get the thing moving.;-)

    I hope this helps.

    Take care,

    Best Regards,

    Ty O'Neal

  14. Exactly

We would prefer all the stuff to be obsolete but most is normally what we end up with.

A nail in a Futura a little different but in a good way.

    I do like that!

Ford makes it, Buick shakes it, and Hurst hooks it.

Have you Dyno'ed your Nailhead yet?

I'm anxious to see what kind of numbers it will make with the Blower on it. When you get a chance, can you post some more informtion on your engine?

    Thanks,

    Ty

Here is a name that popped in my head after reading the "Ford in a Ford".

It could be spelled several ways, but here is the jist:

    "Bi-Race-shell"

"Body by Ford, Noise by Buick"

    Just a thought.

    Thanks for all the postings.
