perfect car for a gasser. i sold one about four years ago... i really wanted to radius the wheel wells and put a straight axle under it. the car was so nice and so original, that i couldn't bring myself to hack on it... so i sold it. be sure and post that build, it's gonna kick-ass!

Perfect looking gasser. Only one question...... are you going to have enough clearance when the engine moves in the mounts or are you running solid mounts?

    Update #10

Finished up the steering for the most part, a Sun tach and a couple small gauges and switches will be going in the hoop. The floor will still be strengthened for the box.

This is probably one of the coolest cars being built on the HAMB. There is something just right about every inch of this car and I normally could give two shits about Falcons!

x2...I really like how this is coming along. Looking forward to more pics. I dig the Nailhead and any other type of unusual mill.

Oh...and I too don't get very excited when I see a Falcon. Wild Gasser or a grandma car....thats the only two things I can see one as.

The box is an 84 Toyota *gulp* 2wd truck box. It's a common fix to use them in F1 and F100's to get rid of the sloppy stockers. They are super tight, and look the part. Did I mention they were CHEAP too?

The rear tires are brand new 30x10x15 Hurst Racing piecrust slicks. They are made from the original 60's molds using modern rubber and radial casings. Same with the fronts.

    Thanks for the praise!

I was cleaning the shop, and decided to roll the Strange Bird outside and snap some pics. It was so cool to actually see it from a distance, not 5 feet away in my little shop. So stoked!

This might be what you're looking for. It's a couple hours from my place but could possibly go look at it for you.. Check it out.

AHHH! That is an absolutely killer deal for someone! It's for the older nailheads though. I really appreciate the lead and the offer for help though!
