I'm trying to make it so it runs for the show! Wanna drive up and bang on this thing for a day? I'll buy the tacos! hahaha.

Motor mocked up again. This time with a scoop. Had to take some measurements for the metalwork on the cowl. Hoping to get the plenum for the blower started tomorrow and the Cage in!

I love your work, but one thing I would change would be your ladder bars.
You should really think about doing them over with diagonal supports not the straight up and down ones you have.
    Great work!

I like the nail head idea. Back in the late '70's there was a '56 chevy running around Torrington, CT. with a nail head and fender well headers in it, can had been built in the '60's and was still going strong and the buick sounded cool with the headers opened up.

Last I know, same owner and now a SBC under the hood.

  10. I can't believe how good the factory sub-rails look compared to square tube rails patched in on most Falcon/Nova gassers...

Really diggin' this build (and the pace!)

Sucks you're sick but even that shouldn't stop you from progress on this baby. Obviously you're losing interest. Personally I think your best bet is to sell the car to me before you lose interest in hot rods all together. That would be an absolute shame. Do what's right! I have about $4.52. I know it's not a fare market price but you can't put a dollar amount on your sanity.:D Hope you get better.

I agree completely! You need to crate that shit up and send it out here. I'll swap you my wanna-be Stude motor for that lump and save you from the embarrassment. What do you say?

    WTF?!

FIRST OFF.....If you want anyone on this board to take you seriously, you need to remove this from your signature:

    RATS RULE !

SECONDLY..... If you really think an SBC is cooler than a Nailhead, you need to stay away from this:

    Thanks for playing.

Make it $5.00 even and it's a deal.

I'll go the $5 but you're going to have to help me a little with shipping, Seriously this is my favorite build on the HAMB. My wife had to have surgery last week and was in the hospital for a few days. Since it's next to impossible to sleep on a hospital cot I had plenty of time to read this thread which led to a mad search of Craigslist and ePay and many emails sent in search of a 64 Dart to give the gasser treatment to. I turned a bunch of overpriced rust. So the search continues.

Absolutely love this build. Its not a Ford engine, but a good choice. Different.

  23. Really dude, look what he's building, how in the world can you call him a "Gold Chainer". Also why are you telling him to get lost when you're in "his" build thread. You know it doesn't always have to have a Ford engine just because it's a Ford body, the nail heads are cool as shit. Oh, and that stuff was funny, just not to you. :D

    Car is f#ckin' sweet !!!!!

Like I said before, I'm a Ford man but the nail head will make a great build out of this.

Any one can put in a Chevy engine, it takes a craftsman to use an imagination. If it can't be a Ford in a Ford then the nail head is far better than a stove bolt.

Keep up the good work, I have to check this everyday now, darn it.

    first off
who died and made you the signature police
second, you are about as funny as a carton of marlboros in a cancer ward chucklehead
    get lost goldchainer.[/QUOTE]

    Wow.

I'll try to respond to that in the most appropriate way i can.

Cancer is NOT funny, not even a little bit. Even if it was, your statement is pure irony, not humor. Go back to school.

You obviously have no grasp on the meaning of goldchainer. You bought your Falcon finished, and I am building mine with my bare hands. Who's the goldchainer now?

You are on my thread, so don't let your rat tail get stuck in the door on your way out.

Oh.....and www.ratrodsrule.com is still accepting members.

I wish you guys could see my face, this was making me laugh the whole time I was typing it!

No more responses to this topic needed. let's get back to the build!
