Dropped the fuel tank in the 57 buick to clean and seal inside, afterward seeing my support straps are in tough shape! Any ideas on what could be done to replace and or what material should be used? Any input

I used some of that heavy steel banding like they "band" equipment crates with when I did my T but that was to hold the tank down rather than up. Now I'd probably go to the wrecking yard with my tape measure and see what I could find that was real close to what I wanted.

Google "gas tank straps" --- Lots of options, even amazon has many choices. Find one that's close and priced right then modify it.

I made some from 16 gauge sheet metal..I don't recall what car.

You should be able to measure the thickness on at least one area of the orig part?
