Here are a few more pedals I aquired for my collection.... The dimmer pedal on the left is one I haven't seen before. It was a $10 LARS swap meet purchase. The center one (Eelco) came from HAMBer chopt31 and the one on the right (Cal Custom) came from CHARLIE HUSTLE. From New Zealand comes this Berry & Chung pedal...... This Eelco pedal was purchased from the H.A.M.B. classifieds. It is about half the size of a regular Moon pedal and it came out of a quarter midget. I will fix the missing chunk at the top. My friend Chris spotted this funky home made pedal at the Long Beach swap meet. I think I paid $15. I love the funky ones! I'm not a big fan of Billet but for $10 I was adding this to the collection. Found at the LARS swap meet.....
It's not really an addiction without an enabler...Thanks, Kev! This post is just the thing to keep me hooked. Here are some more pics of recent finds. A couple more drum pedals (I got a thing for those), a "Vintage Speed" re-pop, really lightweight unknown pedal with a cool side profile, and a cast iron pedal from a John Deere model H tractor.
I need to beat you to one now!! Haha. I need to find one for our chassis research rail. Amazing collection!!!!!
cool thread. so many pedals. plan on a tbucket project come fall.. i know space will be a premium.. so, now i know what to do with that old wrought iron i have ( i use to hand forge custom knifes.. wrought iron is used a lot in that hobbie..) anyhow, now i know what to do with the rest of mine. hand forge a pedal or two. yeah they stop making wrought iron very long time ago., and if you have some you can sell it for good money if you wish. my fav pedal in this thread is the john deer one for some reason, also the dimmer pedals are cute. will def save this thread for ideas when i get to that point in my build. chris.
Awesome thread!! Sorry Kev, nothing to do with gas pedals but my late brother got me a 3/4 race M&S cam grind way back in the seventies because he said it has the coolest "lope" idle around. The poor flathead has never been run and i havent heard the Mundell & Slaughter name since Do you have any background on who they were i wuld love to know more about them?
I scored this Mico forktruck gas pedal from that site whose name we shall not mention for about twenty bucks. A Mico sales rep was very kind in dating it for me. It comes from...the 1980's damdit! I wanted to use the upper half of these vintage Piper rudder pedals for brake and clutch but they turned out to be too wide. Would probably work in something bigger than an A though.
SPAM Alert For anyone who needs one, we are now making repops of the Chassis Research gas pedal (along with the Chassis Research dash and Chassis Research butterfly steering wheel.) Dennis
PSB.....That is a nice one. I just picked up one of those at the swap meet in Springfield, MO. I paid $3. I got the last one, the seller had a bunch and had been selling them for 20 years for the same price. 5 more for the collection... Here is a repo Chassis Research pedal available from O'brien truckers as mentioned above by Dennis. It is a nice piece!..... Here is my Perfection pedal I just mentioned above..... Homemade foot pedal from the Springfield, MO swap meet.... Repo Mantz 1/4 midget pedal from the CHRR swap meet.... Repo Wahlborg 1/4 midget pedal from the same swap meet.....
the lugwig or WFL bass drum pedals do look like a natural crossover, but don't forget to look at the 60's rogers drum pedal. kick or hi-hat will work. i've got one in my 30 "a" coupe. but don't YOU do it. it's mine.
I got one of those at Springfield about five years ago. The bunch of old dudes (club?) under the large canvas tent, right?
Bringing my favorite thread back to the top. I finally managed to find a Hot Foot pedal that I could afford! Really...I can stop anytime.
Wow, awesome thread. I never realized there was so many pedals. I;d like to find a Crager pedal for my Falcon.
Here's mine, it's a Cragar(SS center cap). I chose it because I didn't know how to mount the "traditional" big pedals and this seemed to match the other pedals better. I also wanted a round pedal that would be comfortable to press on from different angles, not being forced to have a "robotic" foot / ankle action. It also is "finished" / not "homemade", replaceable, has "grip" due to the lettering and best of all, was free.
