GARAGE ART: What'd you build?

Here is mine, the wing from 410 sprint car when driver dumped it on the side and the office sign from my body shop

Old wood window and some pics of my grandsons rides. Oh yeah, and my two daughters in the top right when they were little.

 

Couple Scrap pieces of wood from the shop, and an old set of wood blinds and instant Hot Wheels display.

 

Quarantine boredom led to this "wall hanger"..... art??

 

This is a great idea! Just be sure to keep the kids/grandkids away from that pull cord!

 

Did the red arrow in the background here, have half done a few other timber signs with lights just need to finish them…

 

Yep Yep means, “would you like another beer?” and by replying yep yep that means yes haha

 

Scrap 1X3s, '51(?) Ford Custom fender trim I found half buried on my property, '55 T-Bird crossed flags emblem, '47 Dodge carb, '63 BelAir hubcap, Fram filter, some lamp arts, & a key switch for on/off.

Had a piece of old growth red wood 15"x40" 6" thick..so I split it in half and made a side table for the garage.

I put together a bit of "yard art" as well. Here's mine;

 

Redesigned a fan I bought for $10.

 

Not much to see.

 

This is a idea I will try

 

Wall hanger stuff. 1947 Rocklola juke box grill 55 desoto int.trim, 35 Ford spare stainless, 46 Buick tail light. Brass 38 Ford grill trim.

 

I found 5 of these very cool antique ruby red EXIT glass lenses. They are from the 1930's and '40's and were used in theaters.


The search was on for a suitable housing. While at a swap meet I noticed a few vintage spot lights (like are often seen on customs). I wondered if my glass lens would fit in the housing. I took a chance and purchased a few. As luck would have it, my exit lenses were a perfect fit.

I purchased a pack of vintage toggle switches, 4" LED lights, and 9V battery connectors. I wired them in series and vuualaw! Let there be light.





I finished a few, I'll have 5 in total when I'm finished.













They are quite bright and turned out pretty cool.

 

I made a trophy yesterday. I am not sure if 3rd place is good or bad.

 

I found a well used old 1970's Accel cabinet in pieces and took about a month of work to smooth, wire, paint and do decals to make a cool "Mr Eliminator" cabinet for the shop.
