Added some cheap Amazon battery powered remote control LED lights for a little ambiance on a warm summer night while drinking a beer down at the shop. night1.jpg wall 2.jpg

I found an antique red EXIT light lens from the 1920's. These were used in theaters. It was just too cool not to buy. with only having the red lens for inspiration I went to work creating an art deco copper housing and fit a light inside.
Surprisingly, the wife was not upset when I hung it in the house.

He looks pretty ornery. Will he bite me if I try to get my pliers back?

I was fortunate enough to find another antique red EXIT glass. I liked the first one so much, I decided to make another. Here is what I started with...

With only the glass lens (shaped as a half globe) to start with, I set out to make a cool housing and mount an internal light. After a few days of fabbing it was complete.

Now my friends can find their way out of my garage after they're shnookered. :D

I've made a few bits over the years, had plans to make it a side business. Then Covid hit and all the fairs and shows dried up.

Still have alot of pieces an will maybe revisit it one day

Nothing as good as what some have posted for sure but had a top piece of a ‘57 Chevy truck hood and sign on my garage wall. Combine the two and walah: BCB74E8B-9A3C-4375-BAC6-56333323A912.jpeg
